Anna Tong

Founder & Director

Hydro Paws Plus began as a pet project by Anna Tong that blossomed into a full-fledged passion. The dog-loving crusader juggles between her job as a hotel manager and her dedication to the four-legged creatures. Through years of dog sitting, fostering and training, Tong noticed the lack of proper rehabilitative and palliative care facilities using hydrotherapy for dogs, which prompted her to set up her own.

Tong has had a long, fulfilling career in dog care: she has homed some 30 dogs over 45 years, and has been a certified dog trainer since 1999, collecting multiple accolades including a Certificate in Animal Management, Canine Behaviour and Training in New Zealand. Since then, Tong has trained more than 500 dogs both independently and with welfare volunteer group, Action for Singapore Dogs.

Tong’s passion earned her an ABC Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals in 2013 by Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Referrals in the United Kingdom. During this time, she helped establish Paws Seasons Wellness Centre in 2009 and in total, has conducted over 10,000 canine hydrotherapy sessions.

In her spare time, Tong fulfils her duties with various canine welfare groups, while organising charity events for her beloved furry friends.
